Student DJ Mixes from the 2025 Thrive Collective x Projectivity B.E.A.T.S Program

Led by DJ Ty King, the B.E.A.T.S (Basic engineering and audio tech skills) program was part of the Thrive Collective & Projectivity Art Academy at Bronx Arts Middle School in the spring and continued through our Summer DJ Program.

Students learned the fundamentals of DJing — from creating a mix and playing music for events to developing professionalism, integrity, and character. Through hands-on learning, they gained the skills and confidence to express themselves creatively and responsibly behind the turntables. Special thanks to DJ Ty King, Brandon Henriquez, Bronx Arts Middle School, and all of the amazing artists whose music is featured in these student mixes.
