R.H.Y.M.E teaching artists JSWISS earns his first GRAMMY nomination

JSWISS earns his first GRAMMY recognition as a prominently featured artist on drummer/composer Nate Smith’s album LIVE-ACTION, which was nominated for Best Alternative Jazz Album for the 68th Annual GRAMMY Awards. Their collaboration “UNDEFEATED”, which also features trumpeter Marquis Hill, is the album’s only rap feature and the most played song on streaming services.

JSWISS is a world-class music artist who has faithfully served youth alongside Thrive Collective through the R.H.Y.M.E. (Rhymes Help Young Minds Excel) program, teaching and mentoring students across New York City. His impact has reached schools including JHS 127 in the Bronx, sponsored by Councilwoman Amanda Farías; Renaissance School of the Arts in East Harlem, powered by Deputy Speaker Amanda Farías of the New York City Council; MS 57 in East Harlem, fueled by Roads to Success; and he’s currently leading R.H.Y.M.E at the Borough of Manhattan Community College, made possible by the BMCC Counseling Center and UMLA, the Urban Male Leadership Academy.

Congratulations, JSWISS, on your Grammy recognition. Thank you for your continued commitment to creating hope and opportunity in and around schools through the arts and mentoring. Your work inspires the next generation.
