R.H.Y.M.E. Season Kickoff: Hip Hop Music & Mentoring in NYC Schools
On Saturday, November 8th, we officially kicked off a new season of R.H.Y.M.E. (Rhymes Help Young Minds Excel) at the Lower East Side Family Enrichment Center — and the energy in the room was electric.
The event brought together teaching artists, mentors, and community members united by a shared mission: to use hip hop as a tool for education, empowerment, and expression in NYC schools.
One of the highlights of the day was hearing Baz, a former R.H.Y.M.E. student turned paid R.H.Y.M.E intern, share his story. His words reminded us why this work matters — how creativity and mentorship can help young minds grow, thrive, and lead.
A big thank you to Nancy and the Lower East Side Family Enrichment Center for hosting us, and to every member of the Thrive Collective R.H.Y.M.E. team for your passion and purpose.
We’re excited for another impactful season ahead — bringing music, mentorship, and motivation to schools across New York City.
Stay tuned…
R.H.Y.M.E. is coming soon to a school near you.
