Celebrating Our Partnership with Bronx Arts Elementary & Middle School

Since 2021, Thrive Collective has been honored to partner with Bronx Arts Elementary and Middle School to bring creativity, mentorship, and community impact to life through the arts. Big shout out to The Point CDC for initiating this collaboration! Together, we’ve empowered students to find their voices and tell their stories through our R.H.Y.M.E. (Rhymes Help Young Minds Excel) hip hop music and mentoring program, our Murals program, and most recently, our interdisciplinary Art Academy featuring music, graffiti, and DJing via the B.E.A.T.S. (Basic Engineering and Audio Tech Skills) program.

At Bronx Arts Elementary, students experienced our Books, Beats, and Bars initiative—reading stories about historical figures and events, rewriting them in their own words through rhyme, and bringing them to life with original songs and music videos. The experience even included a field trip to a professional recording studio, where their creativity reached new heights.

At the Middle School, students expressed powerful themes like “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop”  “Standing Tall” & “Celebrating Hard Work” through collaborative projects in music, graffiti, and DJing—connecting art to perseverance, identity, and pride in their work.

We’re deeply grateful for the dedication of the Bronx Arts staff and the passion of their students, whose creativity continues to inspire us year after year. Here are a few highlights from this incredible journey together!
