Summer of Creation | CPC SYEP

Summer of Creation is a mini doc created by SYEP students documenting Thrive Collective’s summer art academy in collaboration with CPC at Fort Hamilton High School in Brooklyn. Students participated in media/film, R.H.Y.M.E (music) and mural programs along with several other activities over the course of 6 weeks. Each cohort culminated with a student made project and premiere. Summer of Creation is the media cohort’s final project led by Thrive Collective teaching artists Eric Mason and Jasmine Sanchez. Participants in the media class received hands on experience and exposure to industry best practices and learned about the process of story telling through video. Special thanks to our partners at CPC and SYEP for helping us create hope and opportunity for youth through the arts and mentoring.
