PIX11 Reports: NYPD Basketball Games Support Fallen Officers

Hundreds of young people faced off against police officers in a friendly game of basketball. The event raises money for the families of first responders who lost their lives in the line of duty. PIX11’s photojournalist Darren McQuade has the story.

Thrive Sports and our friends at Chosen NYC proudly supported the 4th Annual Detectives Jason Rivera & Wilbert Mora Rivera Basketball Tournament. Produced by the New York Dominican Officers Organization at Basketball City in Manhattan, the event raises money for families of fallen NYPD officers.

Thrive Sports players represented our long-time partners at Bronx Connect and the CPC Beacon in Sunset Park, and enjoyed competing against police officers. Coach Damian from Thrive and Coach Manny from Chosen represented well in the PIX11 report.
