Faithful Presence After 9/11 | Honoring Pastor Rick & Pastor Marc

“On the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, PCC [Primitive Christian Church] pauses to remember and honor Pastor Rick Del Rio and Pastor Marc Rivera, whose faithful response helped make the love of Christ visible through action. This short film brings together photographs and original camcorder footage recorded by Matthew Rivera—Pastor Marc’s 15-year-old son—in the days following the attacks. The footage preserves a personal view of PCC becoming a hub of support as volunteers, community members, and church leaders came together to serve those working at Ground Zero. At its heart, this is a reflection on the power of presence: people choosing to show up, carry burdens, and embody the hope of Jesus Christ in a time of profound need. Presented as part of PCC’s 25th anniversary remembrance service.”
