The “Thoughts and Prayers” mural reclaimed the #ThoughtsAndPrayers cliche for loved ones lost and families shattered by gun violence at the Art of Healing festival in Harlem on 8/17/19. The Art of Healing festivals are sponsored by the Manhattan District Attorney, with support from Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer and dozens of arts and service organizations throughout Manhattan. The Harlem festival was co-hosted by the Living Redemption Youth Opportunity Hub and Soul Saving Station church during Harlem Week 2019.
