The “Bring Art Back — Mott Haven Collection” is one half of the larger “Make Space for the Arts” community mural collaboration between YUCA Arts and Thrive Collective in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx. The entire project features works by nine artists, eighteen students, and dozens of volunteers from Viacom, Kenneth Cole, Resurrection Church, and the neighborhood; and encompasses both sides of the underpass of the Major Deegan Expressway at Alexander Avenue and 135th Street. This page highlights the distinct works by the Tats Cru artists Bio, Nicer, BG183, along with Crash, Jon143, and BR163, and features photography by Gloria Zapata and Joana Pan. See photos of the entire project at the Make Space for the Arts portfolio here. Special thanks to John “Crash” Matos for curating this collection of world-class artists on behalf of the larger collaboration.
