Art of Healing: Love Soul

The ninth Art of Healing Festival came to Thrive’s backyard of Dry Dock Park in the Lower East Side’s 9th Precinct on August 2, 2025. Located literally across one street from our current office and another street from our first after school location and future murals headquarters, it also adjoins our flagship PS/MS 34’s schoolyard.

With twenty-five participating organizations and forty volunteers from DANY, Abounding Grace Church, and Elevation Church the event was one of the most seamless yet. Thank you to everyone who made the day extraordinary!

This community-centered event provides space to celebrate the beauty of Manhattan neighborhoods and a place for healing from the trauma of violence. Professional artists lead creative activities, including mural painting, drawing, spoken word, music, and dance. The day also features food, community resources, workshops, and family-friendly fun.
